In September of 2023, our second Bohemian Shepherd named "Chilli" Curry Chilli Jolada was born. She was one of a litter of five pups that was born from her parents Candy Rosa White and Perun Bryvilsár.  We traveled to Prague in December of 2023 and brought back 8 week old Chilli with us in the airplane cabin.

Although she is 10 pounds lighter than Bandit at 45 pounds, she is the leader of our small pack and takes her rightful place on the bed every night. Like Bandit, she is fiercly devoted to her family and is always next to a member of our family. As much as Bandit loves to play ball, Chilli loves it even more. She loves to play and will carry her ball around with her and gently nudge it at your feet, in hopes that you will engage in a quick game of fetch. Chilli is quite trainable and walks with her are enjoyable as she is quite content to walk with you. She is quite vocal during playtime and barks during playtime in excitement. Bandit is our lead watch dog, but Chilli doesn't miss an opportunity to chime in on the alert when a car or delivery driver comes to our door. We did find it interesting that she didn't bark nearly as frequent when she went into her first heat and Bandit was staying with relatives. ​

Chilli also has her xrays submitted to the OFA, which is a database that collates and disseminates information concerning orthopedic and genetic diseases in animals. We are happy to report that as her results are all normal with good hips. You can review them on the OFA website here, or by searching her registered name "Curry Chilli Jolada" on their site.

  • Chilli is a carrier for Copper Toxicosis (Accumulating), so she will not be bred with another carrier.  As carriers they are safe to breed as long as there is only one copy of the variant between the pair. ​
